Welcome, and thanks for visiting. Partnership and collaboration are vital to our mission. Learn more about working alongside Whanake to create an environment supporting young people to live their best life.

We enjoy sharing our training, stories and resources with others. If you are new to youth work or nursing with young people, an established organisation working within the sector, or from a different area but seeking understanding around youth, there will be something for you at Whanake.

We also offer training and programmes for organisations looking to develop their people around youthwork and school nursing. If you are looking for some interactive, fun and challenging personal development programmes please get in touch.

Te Ako Manaaki designed to support younger ākonga (aged 12 to 15 years) to have increased confidence and engagement in their learning, implementing a comprehensive and holistic approach and will ultimately lead to improved overall well-being and a more successful transition from either Intermediate to Secondary. We do this by:

1. Strengthening relationships with peers

2. Having positive role models tuakana/teina

3. Strengthening Whanau, iwi and community support.
